The lauhala comes from a tree, its long spike filled branches are first dried and then woven into floor mats, wall hangings and beautiful hats and bracelets. Similar to the weave on our bracelet here depicting the Mauna or mountain symbol in Hawaii and Polynesia. This tends to be one of our wonderfully heavier designs.
